llergy symptoms can affect your breathing, sleep, energy, skin, digestion, and overall quality of life. Whether your symptoms flare during certain seasons, around pets, after meals, or seem to linger year-round, the first step is understanding what your body may be reacting to. At Advanced Care Specialists, our Allergy Testing & Immunotherapy Program is designed to help patients identify common environmental and food-related triggers, then build a personalized treatment plan based on their results. This is not just a one-time allergy test. Our program includes testing, review of your results, and, when appropriate, customized allergy injections designed to help your immune system become less sensitive to the allergens affecting you over time. You do not have to be an Advanced Care Specialists primary care patient to schedule allergy testing and treatment with us.

Allergy Symptoms We Commonly Evaluate

Allergies can show up in many different ways. Some patients have classic seasonal allergy symptoms, while others experience symptoms that are more difficult to connect to a specific cause.

You may benefit from allergy testing if you regularly experience:

  • Sneezing
  • Runny nose
  • Nasal congestion
  • Sinus pressure
  • Post-nasal drip
  • Itchy, watery, or irritated eyes
  • Coughing
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Skin irritation or rashes
  • Digestive discomfort after certain foods
  • Symptoms that flare around pollen, mold, dust, pets, or certain foods
  • Recurring “cold-like” symptoms that do not seem to fully go away

If you are not sure whether your symptoms are allergy-related, our team can help you determine whether allergy testing is an appropriate next step.

What Does Allergy Testing at ACS Include?

Allergy testing at Advanced Care Specialists may include a non-invasive scratch test performed on the inner arms. This test screens for 58 environmental allergens.

Testing may also include a blood test that screens for 40 environmental allergens and 28 dietary allergens. Blood testing is subject to insurance coverage. Medicaid-type plans do not cover the blood test.

Our team will review your symptoms, history, and insurance coverage to help determine which testing options are appropriate for you.

What Happens After Testing?

Once your results are available, our team will review them with you and explain what they mean. If you test positive for specific allergens and are a candidate for treatment, we may recommend allergy immunotherapy.

Immunotherapy is not a quick symptom fix. It is a longer-term treatment approach designed to help your immune system become less reactive to the allergens causing problems.

Your treatment plan may include:

  • Education about your allergy triggers
  • Environmental and lifestyle recommendations
  • Medication guidance when appropriate
  • Customized allergy injection vials based on your results
  • Weekly allergy injections to gradually build tolerance
  • Ongoing follow-up to monitor your response to treatment

The goal is to help your body better handle the environment around you, rather than only reacting after symptoms flare.

More Than Testing. A Treatment Plan Designed for Long-Term Relief

Many patients come to us because they want more than temporary symptom management. Allergy medications may help reduce symptoms, but they do not always address the underlying allergic response. That is why our allergy program includes both testing and treatment planning. Once your results are reviewed, our team will walk you through what they mean and recommend next steps based on your symptoms, triggers, and health history. The goal is to help your body become less reactive to the allergens that may be causing symptoms, rather than only treating flare-ups after they happen.

Don’t let allergies hold you back. Schedule your consultation with Advanced Care Specialists and start your journey to lasting relief.
